(CUT TO: “The New Original” JJ DeVille, in a locker room, tank top on, holding a cell phone, wearing his half of the World Tag Team Titles.)

JJ: (hanging up the cell) I KNEW IT! I knew that these didn’t mean anything to Troy. I knew that he wouldn’t take me seriously! My first title reign, and he quits on me! I don’t know what… I don’t know what I’m going to do. But I do know one thing… I’ve gone through TOO MUCH to let that SLACKER ruin what I’ve achieved! (JJ knocks over the locker room bench in anger and walks out.)

BB: DeVille’s obviously upset that it looks like there’s no way Troy Windham is going to make it here tonight.

SB: Really? Let’s see, he’s in Sweetwater, we’re in Atlanta. You mean “Mr. CSWA” can’t break the sound barrier? I thought he was special.

BB: Up next, Scotty Michaels takes on Joey Melton. Michaels revealed himself as the masked “Mr. Wrestling #27” at CSWA15, and it looks like he’s still a little upset with Mike Randalls for breaking his leg all those years ago.

SB: Can you say bitter?

BB: He’s proved that he’s still got the moves in the ring. But this time, he’ll have to do it without the mask and against Joey Melton. Let’s head to Rhubarb.

The battle of the “better man” was set between the former United States and Presidential champions. Southern, coming off his CSWA15 battle with Dan Ryan; Cruise, coming off the reveal of his brother.

Cruise used his speed advantage through the whole match, trying to keep a battered Southern off-tempo. He forced Southern to change up, after he missed a leg sweep and DDT attempt early on. Southern shrugged and started chain wrestling, putting Cruise on the mat easily. Cruise quickly rolled outside and took a time-out. After a discussion with Mercedes, he rolled back in and sped the tempo up even more. Going after Southern’s knee with a series of dropkicks and kneedrops, Cruise seemed in control. Southern beat out several close pinfall attempts by leveraging the right shoulder up time and time again.

Cruise continued working over that historically bad knee of Southern’s. But he couldn’t resist going for the piece de resistance, his Impact DDT. He pulled Southern up to his feet and sent him into the ropes to set him up… but came up eating a Party’s Over superkick that led to the pinfall win for the man who is looking for another CSWA World Title shot.

(Standing in a locker room is WILDSTAR, clad in his singlet, with his partner, TSUNAMI, green dragon mask on with matching spandex bodysuit. WildStar has a big cocky grin on his face, Tsunami’s face is tilted forward, eyes giving off nothing but intensity.)
