(CUT TO: The ring, where the large J. Bishop stands next to Nathan Storm, who is pulling on the ring ropes.)

BB: Sammy, we’re not sure what’s going to go on with this match. Scheduled for tonight’s match was a defense from our new tag team champs, Troy Windham with JJ DeVille against the Cutters… but Troy Windham, we learned earlier tonight, is in Texas, visiting his brother in the hospital!

SB: When did you EVER think you would say that phrase, Buckley?

BB: So, we’re not sure what’s going on… but earlier, JJ DeVille said that he was going to fight, no matter what!

SB: And when did you EVER think you would say THAT phrase, Buckley?

BB: Well, JJ in recent weeks has gotten more serious about being a wrestler. It seems like he’s no longer content on being the cowardly lackey to the stars… but he wants to strike out on his own!

(CUE UP: “Hey Ya!” by Outkast. The crowd starts to rise as JJ DeVille, shirtless in short neon trunks comes out, title proudly around his waist. He raises his fist in the air.)

SB: Hey, what happened to the hair metal? I was hoping to hear some Dokken tonight!

BB: And it appears that along with his new mentality, JJ is also changing his image! He’s climbing into the ring… and it appears that JJ is going to be taking on the Diamond Cutters… by himself!

(JJ stands in the ring, across from the <> Cutters, grabbing the ropes. Nathan Storm and J. Bishop realize that they’re in a handicapped match… with JJ DeVille… and start to smirk.)

BB: This isn’t going to be pretty. Nathan Storm is going to start things out.

SB: Look at that smirk… he thinks it’s going to be an easy night!

BB: Storm and JJ lock up… and Storm knees JJ in the stomach. He brings JJ into the corner. Chop! (Crowd: WOO!) And another! And another! Storm pats JJ on the cheeks condescendingly-- but JJ reverses quickly! And he hits a chop of his own! And another! And another! And a fourth! Storm is reeling in the corner!

SB: And remember, JJ is a trained practitioner of the martial arts and is a registered human weapon!

BB: Well, JJ’s chops WERE pretty strong, Sammy… and reminiscent of those of his old mentor, Eddy Love! JJ now goes to whip Storm—no, Storm reverses and short clotheslines DeVille! Storm now bounces off the middle rope—MOONSAULT! No, JJ rolls out of the way but Storm lands on his feet! BUT JJ SPINS AND DROPS STORM WITH A LEG SWEEP! COVER! 1! NO! Storm kicks out. Both men up… BACKSLIDE FROM JJ! (The crowd POPS!) One! Two! NO! And Storm backpedals towards his corner, and the look on his face says it all!

(Storm, sitting down, has this worried look, realizing they just might be in for a fight.)

SB: And look at JJ! He’s loving this! (JJ stands on the middle turnbuckle, pumping his fist as the crowd chants… JAY! JAY! JAY! JAY!)

BB: He’s got to stay focused… especially now that the bigger Bishop is coming into the ring!

SB: And he isn’t going to be messing around!

BB: Bishop in and OHHH! He just put on a BIG boot into JJ’s face! And now he drops down with a leg drop! He now cinches in a full-nelson on JJ and hoists him up in the air and drops him back down onto his back! And JJ is hurt!

SB: This guy has it all. He should REALLY think about going for a singles belt. Bishop is big, tough and skilled. I like this guy a lot!

BB: Bishop now picks up DeVille on his shoulder… and he runs and just PLOWS into the corner with him! And now he turns to do the same to the other corner—NO! JJ kicks out! Bishop bounces off the turnbuckle—quick side kick from JJ. AND NOW HE HITS A SLACKKNIFE! OH MY GOD! ONE! TWO! THRENOOO! (The crowd is leaping, thinking that JJ has the pin.)

SB: You gotta think that JJ has been learning these moves from his bosses over the years!

BB: And you also have to think that the Cutters weren’t really viewing him as a threat for this match, either. It shows that you can’t underestimate ANYBODY in the CSWA these days. JJ now is working Bishop with a swift side kick, and another and—Storm just pulled on JJ’s hair! JJ turns to storm and OOOOOH! Bishop goes down low with a punch where the sun don’t shine!

SB: That’s how you can tell JJ finally grew some balls! He didn’t have ANYTHING down there before!

BB: Bishop now tags in Storm but hooks JJ in a full-nelson… Storm on the ring apron… STORM SPRINGBOARDS TO THE TOP ROPE AND DROPKICKS JJ RIGHT IN THE FACE! Cover! ONE! TWO! THRNO! JJ kicks out!

SB: Digging down deep inside, just like Eddy Love!

BB: Storm now snapmares JJ over and flips over with a jawbreaker. That’s the precision and wrestling acumen that Tom Adler and his associates have been KNOWN for in their decade plus in this sport! Storm now picks JJ up—FACE PLANT!

SB: And you just KNOW Storm is going to do something insane right here.

BB: Storm looks at the fans and gestures with a cut throat… he now climbs to the top… JJ is getting up… and he sees Storm… JJ CRANE KICKS THE TOP ROPE! AND STORM FALLS ONTO THE TOP ROPE WITH A SPLIT!

SB: Always looking for a way to use his karate!

BB: JJ now climbs to the top rope! He punches Storm! Now he hooks… SUPERPLEX! BUT—(the crowd MARKS!) JJ FROM HIS BACK USES HIS MOMENTUM TO CARRY HIMSELF OVER WHILE HOLDING ONTO STORM! HE JUST TURNED THAT SUPERPLEX INTO AN INVERTED DRAGON SLEEPER! Storm is SCREAMING in pain!

SB: He might tap!

BB: What incredible pressure on his neck! JJ must have picked up THAT move from his brief partnership with Evan Aho! Bishop coming into the ring and referee Pee Wee Troutman goes to clear the ring of him! STORM IS TAPPING! BUT THE REF CAN’T SEE IT!

SB: JJ WINS!

BB: JJ LETS GO OF THE HOLD! AND HE MEETS BISHOP WITH A FOREARM! AND ANOTHER! SPIN KICK TO THE SIDE! JJ HOOKS BISHOP’S ARMS! SPINNING PEDIGREE! SPINNING PEDIGREE!

SB: THAT’S THE COUP DE VILLE!

BB: JJ covers Bishop! But Troutman isn’t counting! Storm’s the legal man, not Bishop! And now Storm FLIPS—LEG DROP THAT JUST GUILLOTINED JJ! Bishop getting to his feet… he picks JJ up by the legs—AND STORM HITS THE DOUBLE DIAMOND CUTTER! THEY JUST SPIKED JJ ON HIS HEAD!

SB: Ouch.

BB: Storm covers… One! Two! Three! They got him! (Bishop standing over JJ, finger in his face as Troutman raises Storm’s hand!) And, apparently, we have new tag team champions also!

SB: Or, a tag team champion! There’s only one belt!

BB: Bishop walks out holding the belt, walking out with him and his partner… bringing more gold to the <> X-Change!

SB: Diamonds and gold, a great mix!

BB: But look at in the ring… JJ DeVille getting up. And say what you want about what this young man has done so far in his career… he may have lost the match tonight… but tonight, he won MY respect and he won the respect of wrestling fans around the world! Tonight, folks… JJ DeVille proved himself to the world!

(CUT TO: JJ, hurt, picking himself up via the top rope. The crowd begins its chant again… JAY JAY JAY JAY JAY JAY!)
